Mike Murphy retired after 22 years as President and Chief Executive Officer of Sharp HealthCare in 2019. Sharp is a large integrated healthcare delivery organization and is San Diego’s largest private employer with over 18,000 employees and 3,000 physicians, and has annual revenues approaching $4 billion.  Prior to joining Sharp 28 years ago, Mike was a partner with Deloitte and Touche and worked for over 12 years in the public accounting industry, with an emphasis on the healthcare industry. Murphy is a graduate of California State University at Long Beach and is a Certified Public Accountant. He currently serves on the Boards of Directors of Macro Health, Providence St. Joseph Health and Jack in the box. He has served on numerous community and professional boards including Chair of the State of California Chamber of Commerce in 2016.
